Leadership NEXT to discuss the community’s collective impact during July 9 program at WearTheFund

Leadership NEXT, a monthly program for advancing business professionals, will highlight the impact of a collective approach to entrepreneurial ecosystems during its July 9 session at WearTheFund in Fort Myers.

Led by Sam Lewis, founder of WearTheFund, and Jonathan Romine, program director of SecondMuse, the program will offer insightful discussion on how entrepreneurial ecosystems thrive when businesses and nonprofits are working together.

WearTheFund, a wholesale custom apparel company, is known for its social responsibility and extensive charitable network of over 60 nonprofits. Led by Lewis and his passion for social entrepreneurship, WearTheFund donates 5% of total sales for every project to a nonprofit of the client’s choice. To date, WearTheFund has contributed more than $160,000 to diverse causes that achieve social good for the communities it serves.

SecondMuse is a community-sourced incubator in Fort Myers alongside the Southwest Florida Community Foundation and in partnership with the City of Fort Myers. Under Romine’s leadership, SecondMuse’s incubator focuses on developing the next generation of leaders as well as strengthening the overall economic ecosystem. SecondMuse’s Kinective program helps champion, accelerate and support the growth of startups, nonprofits and creatives in the local area, making Southwest Florida a better place to live and work.

The upcoming Leadership NEXT program runs from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9 at WearTheFund, 93 Mildred Drive, Suite B, in Fort Myers.

Leadership NEXT attendees represent a variety of businesses and industries throughout Southwest Florida. Monthly sessions take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of every month and offer opportunities to develop new knowledge and skills, establish working relationships with colleagues and engage in valuable programs and discussions to further enhance their careers. Leadership NEXT’s annual sponsor is the Florida Gulf Coast University Alumni Association.

Leadership NEXT is free to attend for members of the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce and $10 for future members. Attendees are encouraged to register in advance at FortMyers.org and follow “Leadership NEXT” on Facebook for more information.
