Community leaders, media representatives, Seagate team members and construction partners were on hand to celebrate the groundbreaking of Seagate Development Group’s new corporate headquarters, located at Interstate 75 and Alico Road in Fort Myers.
The two-story, 13,000 square-foot building will house the executive and general office staff and is designed to complement the current and future work environment. Employees will be able to access and present information from anywhere in the building. First floor features will include an upscale reception area with stone flooring and walnut wood details, three conference rooms for client meetings, an expansive training room and office space for Seagate staff.
Hosting the executive offices, the second floor will feature 11-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, and include a boardroom, bar area, outdoor balcony, design studio and collaborative workspaces, as well as private offices.
“This is a great day for the entire Seagate team,” said Matt Price, Chief Executive Officer of Seagate Development Group. “Seeing our vision of the future come to fruition and the possibilities it represents is a very rewarding experience. Lee County has been a good foundation for the overall organization. We are looking forward to the company’s next chapter and continued growth as well as the opportunity to expand our business throughout Southwest Florida and beyond.”
During the groundbreaking on June 28th, more than 50 guests were treated to doughnuts and coffee, opening remarks by Chairman of the Board, Bill Price and a 3-D rendering of the office building design. The event concluded with a champagne toast to signal the start of construction.
