CareerSource Southwest Florida (CSSWF) will host an informational workshop for business representatives on how to obtain cost-assisted technology certifications for their workers. This is in conjunction with a Technology Skills Gap Survey being conducted by the Southwest Florida Regional Technical Partnership (SWFRTP).
The workshop will take place from 6-8 p.m. on Sept. 18 at The Hatchery in Babcock Ranch.
CSSWF will utilize the information from the survey to help businesses identify the certifications they may qualify to receive. CareerSource also has programs available for individuals and the event program will address how they can qualify to participate.
CSSWF was awarded a grant to provide funding for technology skills upgrading and certification and exam fees.
Early survey results indicate a high need for Cisco, Microsoft, VMWare, Amazon Web Services, PMP and Apple certifications.
Grant funds are available for training in more than 100 online technology classes. For more information, visit www.swfrtp.org.
