SALUSCARE LUNCHEON SLATED FOR MAY

A panel of behavioral health experts will explore the impact of cultural beliefs and practices on mental health and substance abuse treatment at the third annual “Shattering the Stigma” luncheon, held at 11:30 a.m. May 20 at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre in Fort Myers. Registration will open at 11 a.m.
The luncheon is hosted and presented by SalusCare in honor of Mental Health Month.
The panel will be moderated by Madelyn Isaacs, professor of counseling and department chair at Florida Gulf Coast University. Isaacs co-founded the Public Schools Enrichment Partnership and is the secretary of the SalusCare Board of Directors.
Panelists are: April Brown, counselor at Genesis Counseling and president of the Gulf Coast Mental Health Counselor’s Association; Indera (Singh) Demine – immigration law attorney; Yaro Garcia, clinical and accreditation coordinator of counseling at Florida Gulf Coast University and president of the SWFL Regional Human Trafficking Coalition; and Ana Leticia (Leti) Lopes, a multilingual licensed psychologist.
